Wyoming Youth Tennis Foundation is the 501(c)(3) non-profit, fundraising arm of the Wyoming Tennis Association (USTA WY). The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial assistance to juniors through scholarships and junior programs through community grants to P&R, CTA, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc, to give kids the opportunity to learn from and play the lifetime sport of tennis.
Tennis teaches important life skills such as responsibility, discipline, integrity and self-confidence. The WYTF is committed to providing tennis as a means to instill these attributes in Wyoming’s youth regardless of economic, social or ethnic background.
Scholarships and Program Grants are awarded twice each year -- deadlines for Scholarship and Program Grant Applications are Nov. 1. Applications must be submitted electronically.
Junior Scholarship Guidelines & Requirements
- Candidates may be male or female, ages 18 and under, who reside in the state of Wyoming.
- Scholarship award not to exceed $500/year. Half awarded up front, remainder awarded after accountability form is received.
- A current USTA membership is required.
JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities
1. Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain high standards of sportsmanship on and off the court. Recipients are also expected to represent the sport of tennis by maintaining an outstanding reputation in both school and community.
2. Recipients must also commit to providing a minimum of 20 hours of community service focused on helping younger tennis players in your community (i.e., Kids Tennis Cubs, Unified Sports Program with Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Cubs, Schools, Parks and Recreation Departments, Community Tennis Association, etc).
3. Failure to maintain this expected behavior level may be cause for a scholarship to be revoked.
4. A scholarship recipient accountability report form must be submitted to account for usage of scholarship.
5. Submit application and letter of request electronically to Peg Connor.
Program Grant Guidelines
- Applicants must be a USTA Organizational Member (school, parks and recreation, Boys and Girls Club, After-School Program, Community Tennis Association, Club, etc)
- Program grants cannot exceed $500/year. Half awarded up front, remainder awarded after accountability form is received.

PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATION
Program Grant Requirements
1. Program grants must be used to support junior programming (youth under 18).
2. Support of 10 and Under (youth 10 and under) programming is highly encouraged.
3. Program grants can support Kids Tennis Clubs, PlayDays, Junior Team Tennis (JTT), tournaments, and clinics.
4. Program grants must submit an accountability report form to account for usage of scholarship.
5. Submit application and letter of request electronically to Peg Connor.
